The FireWire 800 9-Pin to 9-Pin cable allows you to use a FireWire 800 port with any fast FireWire 800 device. You can also network two computers at up to 800 Mbps if they both have FireWire 800 ports.
Note that FireWire 800 is also known as FireWire b, i.link 800, i.link b, ieee-1394 800 and ieee-1394 b. FireWire 800 allows for speeds of up to 800 Mpbs.
