NEMA L6 Plugs are used for operating heavy-duty equipment for which the voltage is 240 V. They are rated for 250 V and do not offer a neutral connection. These plugs are used for two-pole, three wire hot-hot-ground circuits that have a supply of 240 or 208 V.
NEMA 5-15P cords are used to run household electronic items including refrigerators, air conditioners, microwaves etc. The plugs are available in variety of voltages, current capacity, width and dimensions.
